We are proud of our Womens Rugby Section in Blackrock. Over the years, the development and skill increase has been massive. Last seasons Squad totalled 26 players. They achieved great success by winning the All Ireland League Division One title beating UL Bohemians in a tense final in Munster.
Blackrock College Womens team commence training for the 2008/09 season this Friday at 7.00 – 9.00 August 8th 2008 and every Friday for the next couple of months

Blackrock College Womens Team who are current Division 1 League Champions are also the most successful Leinster club in the history of the womens game
In the last few seasons we have also won the All Ireland Cup in 2006 and 2007
We also have a thriving Youth section at under 15s and 18s which will start to filter into the senior squad and they won The Boyne under 15 blitz, 16 of the squad were involved with the Leinster Team during the Interprovincial Series
8 Players were involved in the 6 Nations with 9 being involved in the European Championships,
Louise Austin and Emer McMenamy gained their 1st caps last season
Germaine Healy had the honour of captaining the side v England during the European Championships
The 2007-08 season produced a staggering 10 Full Internationals
